Psychotherapy

Thinking and working together in an empathic, safe, non-judgmental and confidential setting.

Psychotherapy in Central, West & East London

Covering Bloomsbury, Shoreditch, Chiswick, Richmond, Brentford and surrounding areas.

There are many reasons why someone might decide to seek therapy, and I understand that taking that first step can feel daunting. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, particularly when you’re already feeling overwhelmed or finding things difficult to manage.

At different points in our lives, many of us experience anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or emotional distress that can feel hard to navigate alone. Psychotherapy provides a confidential space to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and begin to move forward in a way that feels meaningful and manageable.

Whether we meet online or in person, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we can explore what has brought you to therapy and develop an understanding of the thoughts, feelings, relationships, and experiences that may be affecting you.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). Our work will be tailored to your individual needs, circumstances, and goals, with the pace and focus guided by what feels most helpful for you.

People often come to therapy seeking greater clarity, relief from emotional distress, or a renewed sense of balance, connection, and purpose. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy can simply be a place to start.

If you have any questions at all about how I can help you, please do get in touch with me.

About Me

Saeed Khalilirad

Experience

I am a fully accredited member of the UKCP and BABCP, and a registered member of the BACP. I’m trained and experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults at different stages of life across both short-term and longer-term NHS mental health services, as well as in private practice. I have also worked within university counselling services, supporting both students and staff with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I currently divide my time between an NHS mental health service and my private practice, where I offer sessions in Central, West and East London, as well as online.

Wherever you are in your journey, my aim is to offer a warm, compassionate and collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we can explore what has been difficult, develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.

Psychotherapy

There are many different reasons why you might consider psychotherapy. You may be experiencing low mood or depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, the end of a relationship, bereavement, or the emotional impact of difficult or traumatic experiences, including sexual abuse.

You may also be struggling with work-related stress, panic, low self-esteem, social or health anxiety, obsessive thoughts or behaviours, OCD, trauma, phobias, or other forms of emotional distress that can feel difficult to manage.

Sometimes, you may not have a clear sense of what is wrong—you may simply feel that something has changed, that life feels harder than it used to, or that you are finding it difficult to cope. Therapy can provide a safe and confidential space to explore what you are experiencing, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and begin to find ways forward that feel meaningful and sustainable.
