Thinking and working together in an empathic, safe, non-judgmental and confidential setting.
There are many different reasons why someone makes the first contact for counselling with me. I am aware that seeking help might not be easy. We all might experience depression, anxiety and other emotional difficulties and wish to be able to work through them in psychotherapy and to move forward in our lives. We will be working together, either online or face-to-face, in an empathic, safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. This will allow us to make sense of, and work through, the issue that brought you to therapy using CBT, Psychodynamic, and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapies.
All those who contact me wish to talk about what concerns them and wish to find a way to manage and overcome the thoughts and feelings that are preventing them from leading enjoyable and fulfilling lives.
If you have any questions at all about how I can help you, please do get in touch with me.
I am a UKCP & BABCP accredited member and a registered member of the BACP. I am qualified and experienced using different therapy approaches such as CBT, Psychodynamic and Dynamic Interpersonal therapies. I have years of experience working with adults of all ages in a wide range of short and long-term NHS mental health services, and in private practice. I have also worked in educational psychotherapy services offering psychotherapy to university students and staff. I am currently working in an NHS mental health service and also in private practice in Central, West and East London.
There are different reasons that psychotherapy could help you. You could be experiencing low mood, depression, different types of anxiety, relationship difficulties or break-up, sexual abuse, emotional distress or bereavement. You may be experiencing work-related stress, panic, low self-esteem, social anxiety, health anxiety, obsessive thoughts, behaviour and feelings, OCD, experienced trauma, different types of phobias and other emotional difficulties that are challenging to live with.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how psychotherapy works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to psychotherapy, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right psychotherapist to help.
You can also call me on 07960624856 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
